Dr. Lois is a native of Franklin County, Virginia. She received her bachelor’s degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences in 2007. Dr. Lois then graduated from the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, and has since worked for Crab Orchard Veterinary Services. She has been married to her husband Daniel since 2010, and they have a spoiled rotten little girl named Hadley. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, running, spending time with her friends and family, and volunteering for different church activities. Dr. Lois has several furry family members that are familiar faces around the office: a Maltese mix named Lucy, a German Shepherd mix named Sam, a big black cat named Gabriel, and a big orange cat named Tobit.
Dr. Bailey received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Middle Tennessee State University in 2019. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Originally a Nashville Tennessee native, Dr. Bailey fell in love with the mountains during her time in Knoxville and decided to begin practicing in Southwest Virginia. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, hiking, gaming, and spending time with dog, Kota.
Amie started with Crab Orchard Veterinary Services in 2010 as a Veterinary Assistant. She has been the Office Manager since 2012. She is a native of Tazewell County and has worked in the Veterinary field since she was 19 years old. Amie has been married to her husband, Aaron, since 1998 and they have two children, Connor and Lauren. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and playing with her fur babies. Amie has an Australian Shepherd Mix named Amos, and 2 English Bulldogs named Lula and Maebelle, Mini Lamancha goats and lots of chickens!
Anna has been with us since 2013! She is originally from Advance North Carolina but relocated to Tazewell when her and her husband Matt got married. They have two dogs Stella an English Bulldog, Midge a Shih-Tzu, and a big black cat named Stewie! Anna enjoys spending time with her husband and family outside of work, she also enjoys cooking and crafting!
My name is Steven Whitehead I started working at Crab Orchard Veterinary Service in 2009, I work as a veterinary assistant. I have two cats at home, Raz and Rocket, they are four years old and were adopted from a litter that was dropped off to a friend of mine. I enjoy working on computers in my spare time, and playing pc games with frineds.
Amanda Horton started working at Crab Orchard in January 2014, I worked 2 years in the kennels and now a vet tech. In my free time I love spending time with my 2 boxers and other critters.
Paige started working for Crab Orchard in May of 2022. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from James Madison University in 2020, and hopes to continue her education and obtain an Accelerated Bachelors in Nursing. Paige has three dogs, Holly, Tucker, and Jax; a bearded dragon named Yoshi, and two Guinea Pigs named Moira and Rose. In her free time she enjoys painting, drawing, cooking, watching true crime documentaries, and playing video games.
Missy has worked at Crab Orchard since 2015, she started off in the
boarding facilities and is now a full time receptionist. She has been
happily married for 33 years, has 2 daughters and 2 grandsons who are the
ages 2 and 4. She enjoys spending time with her family especially watching
her youngest daughter play softball and volley ball.
Shaena started at Crab Orchard Veterinary Services in 2020 as a Receptionist. Shaena loves animals and has many of her own. She is happily married to her husband Brent and they have a daughter named Remi together. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and riding horses.

Hello my name is Amanda and I am a native of McDowell County West Virginia. I have been with Crab Orchard Veterinary Services for two years. I have worked in Veterinary Medicine for over 20 years. I am cross trained in the Veterinary Assistant and Reception Department. I share my home with my beloved pets which consists of four dogs, two cats, three goats, and three chickens!
Bethany is a local girl who graduated from Tazewell High School in 2018. She is currently enrolled at Southwest Virginia Community College majoring in Science:Pre Med and General Studies with plans to go to into the Veterinary field! Bethany has two dogs Soldierboy and Bandit and many cats! In her free time she enjoys listening to music, watching Netflix, drawing, and gardening.
